Pacific Tank & Construction announces the successful completion and commissioning of two (2) 45,000 ton hour and one (1) 600MM btu hot water tanks for Whiting Turner Construction Co and Stanford University.
The tanks are part of a much larger project to reduce energy consumption overall while improving delivery of air conditioning and heated water to all 155 buildings on campus. The Stanford Energy System Innovation (SESI) has achieved an overall energy consumption reduction of 50%.
The tanks are performing at an astounding 92% of efficiency. This was achieved by the use of patented slotted pipe diffuser system designed by PTC’s design team of Hagen Engineering and TKDA engineers.
The project was awarded the coveted Best of The Best projects by Engineering News Record when compared with 15 projects across the U. S.
